ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sandra Gibson and Luis Recoder originally met at the 2000 International Film Festival Rotterdam where they each screened their work. Since then they have been collaborating on expanded cinema performances and installations. Their work has exhibited at major art museums and films festivals such as The Kitchen, Whitney Museum of American Art, Redcat, Tate Modern, Sundance Film Festival, Kill Your Timid Notion, and Image Forum Festival. Their work is in the permanent collection of the Whitney Musuem, Museum of Contemporary Cinema Foundation, as well as in numerous private collections. Gibson and Recoder live and work in New York City.
